RETURNS & CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Introduction

This Returns Policy outlines your rights when purchasing goods from EJ’s Pursuits Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the conditions under which returns, exchanges and cancellations may be accepted.

This policy complies with:

  • UK Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (distance selling rules)

  • Applicable UK trading standards requirements

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

 

2. Special Orders & Non-Stock Items

Special orders and non-stock items are non-refundable, except where the item is found to be faulty (following inspection).

This includes:

  • Bespoke, customised or personalised items

  • Items ordered specifically at your request

  • Products not normally held in our inventory

These items cannot be returned if you change your mind.

 

3. Change of Mind Returns (In-Store Purchases)

“In-store” purchases (face-to-face sales) do not fall under distance selling legislation.

However, as a gesture of goodwill, we may accept returns at our discretion.

Conditions:

  • A restocking fee and administration charges will apply

  • Goods must be unused, unopened, and in as-new condition

  • Proof of purchase is required

  • We may alternatively offer a Part Exchange value if a full return is not suitable

We reserve the right to decline returns for items that cannot be resold as new.

 

4. Change of Mind Returns (Online & Mail Order)

For UK online or mail-order purchases, customers have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To qualify for a refund:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of receiving the goods

  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of your cancellation notice

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in resale condition

  • Packaging must be intact and suitable for resale

Return delivery costs:

  • You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or sent in error

  • We will refund standard delivery costs originally paid at checkout (if applicable)

Returns cannot be accepted for:

  • Items showing signs of use

  • Items damaged by the customer

  • Items with missing packaging, accessories or documentation

 

5. Faulty Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

  • As described

Inspection of Faulty Goods

When goods are reported as faulty:

  • Items may be inspected by us, the manufacturer, or the wholesaler

  • Inspections may take up to 12 weeks, depending on the manufacturer

  • Reports from authorised service centres are considered final

If a fault is confirmed:

  • You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund (depending on product age and circumstances)

If no manufacturing fault is found:

  • The item will be returned to you

  • You may be responsible for postage and any inspection charges

 

6. Drop-Shipped Items

Some items sold by EJ’s Pursuits Ltd are drop-shipped directly from our suppliers or manufacturers.

Important information regarding drop-shipped products:

  • Returns must still be arranged through us, not the supplier

  • Some suppliers require items to be returned directly to them—we will advise you if this applies

  • Processing times for returns or inspections may be longer due to supplier procedures

  • Replacement or repair availability may depend on the supplier’s own stock levels

  • Postage or collection arrangements may differ from standard returns

Drop-shipped items remain subject to UK consumer law and your statutory rights.

 

7. How to Return an Item

Step 1: Contact Us

Email info@ejspursuits.co.uk or call 01843 621357 to request a return authorisation and instructions.

Step 2: Package the Goods

  • Use original packaging where possible

  • Include a copy of your invoice or proof of purchase

  • Include a completed returns form (if provided)

We strongly recommend using tracked and insured postage.
Items lost or damaged in transit are your responsibility until received by us.

 

8. Refunds

Refunds will only be issued once:

  • Goods have been received

  • Goods have been inspected

  • The return has been approved

Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
Please allow 3–10 working days depending on your bank.

 

9. Delivery and Return Costs

Return postage will be refunded only if:

  • The item is confirmed faulty

  • The incorrect item was sent due to our error

Return postage will not be refunded for Change of Mind returns.

 

10. Used Goods

We cannot refund or exchange used items unless:

  • A manufacturing fault has been confirmed

  • Incorrect goods were supplied through our error

Normal wear, accidental damage, or misuse does not constitute a manufacturing fault.

If the order has already been dispatched, the cancellation will be treated as a return under distance selling rules.

Special orders and non-stock items cannot be cancelled once processing or procurement has begun.

 

12. Exclusions

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Special orders

  • Custom-built items

  • Non-stock items purchased specifically at your request

  • Items used or damaged by the customer

 

13. Your Legal Rights
